Faried has got to go - Plain and simple. He has slowly faded further down the Nuggs' depth chart with each passing season. I don't know if Darrell Arthur has exercised his player option yet, but if Denver was able to package the #14 in order to dump those two contracts, I'd be all for it at this point.
D.A. would be a tough guy to lose, but he's not worth what he's making any more. Such a move would open up two roster spots as well as to save money in order to re-sign Will Barton and Wilson Chandler.
Mavs should do this, then partner with Memphis to send Mathews for the 4th + Parsons.
4th, 5th, and 14th. Then draft, let expiring contracts play out over 2 years, wait for that long for GS to start to breakup (or break down) and plan to compete in 2020.
Are the Nuggets really in the running for someone good enough to be a difference maker for them THIS season? If not, I think this is a bit overly aggressive. Maybe they are trying to trade for someone and need to clear room under the luxury tax, someone like Kemba Walker? Still, I would think they would need the #14 included in that, but maybe the Hornets own desire to dump salary with Kemba is forcing something like this?
Resembles a trade we made in the mock draft, although I think I made out better than the Hornets might ultimately be able to do.
