I'm leaving my 4 iron at home from now on. I'm probably better just shortening my hybrid a little to fill that distance gap.
Gotta be on my game to his my 4 decently. I think I put the 3 away a while back, the 5 hybrid does the trick usually.

I used to have a 1 and 2 iron.

No idea what they did.

I've got a 60. One of the hardest clubs to hit in my bag. It's (meaning me) messed up plenty of short approaches to par 5's. A 40 yard shot going 80 yards is no bueno.

I hated my 60, traded it in for a 58, I love the club.

Could probably swing the 1 or 2 lefty if you were stuck next to a tree...

My gap wedge is 50, and I was thinking about getting a 54 and 58 this year. I had a 60 in the past, but had no idea how to hit it correctly and ended up fucking up every shot with it.

the iron set came with an approach wedge, which is 50° and that goes about 100 yds. I am trying to use that more around the greens.

KSig...Kirkland Signature Golf Ball

Idk if I hit the timing perfectly or what, but I finally got an order of the 3pc urethane cover ball...once called the ProV1 killer and in fact Acushnet is or has sued Costco over this ball design.

$23.99 for a 2 dz pack (ONLINE ONLY, and must have a Costco online credential, but easy to setup if you are a member)...I couldn't resist and bought the maximum allowed 4 dz. After hearing about orders not being filled timely, I kinda thought it might take a while if they were able to ship...Well, 5 days later they came in Friday, just in time for my Sat. morning tee time.

With only a few putts on them, I put one in play on the 1st hole...Two of these balls pictured came back from the golf course...the one that didn't I played about 14 holes with it before it was taken by the course.

Thoughts...I didn't do any A/B type testing on the course, but durability, and short game spin is impressive. I hit my LW from 65 yds to a front pin...wide about 10' but it hit one bounce forward and checked up pin high...greens are hard so that was impressive from a tweener kind of distance. Length...I played my home course and mostly played my approaches from the same general areas so it's plenty long enough for my game.

There is a 4 pc version of this ball that is out of stock, but I wouldn't wait for it...if you can get these...do it.

I got a Xmas gift of 4 dz PV1X logo overruns that I've yet to use waiting on the courses to green up fully so I didn't need any balls. If I haven't said I'm a golf ball deal seeking whore before...I'm a golf ball deal seeking whore.

Well...I finally got in some A/B practice with the KSig and PV1. Played the par 3...one ball KSig and PV1 the other

Short game spin...PV1

Distance...Irons, pretty close, but edge to PV1

Full iron swing spin...PV1

The PV1 is the better ball, but the old "for the money argument"...KSigs are a steal...basically the performance of a 330RX for $12 per dz.
