The Brewers have the best record in the National League.
This was an interesting play
Brewers-Reds game spins out of control during epic rundown
Guns, You are correct as the Brewers are currently 15 games over .500
Unfortunately for us National League fans the 4th best record in the American League currently belongs to the Mariners at 21 games over .500
I have not seen any Brewers starting in the all star game for the NL.
Mark, You don't have to have starters in all star games when you play team baseball, which is what the Brewers have been doing.
but there were far more Atlanta Braves that were leading.
Reds beat the Brewers again today.
The Reds have had their best winning streak of the season lately but it's too little too late for them. The Braves have been good all season long and all teams have winning streaks and losing streaks during the course of a much too long MLB regular season.
I said before this MLB season started that the Brewers and Cubs will be battling each other all season long for the NL Central title and I still haven't changed my mind. There is so much more baseball left to be played to make it all a guessing game for all of us right now but when the dog days of summer arrives around mid-August we will begin to see which teams wants it the most in all of the divisions.
My Pirates got humilliated 17-1 last night in LA. our catcher allowed a run to score on a bad throw back to the pitcher!
I don't buy the rumors much but I do know that when Milwaukee has seen a window open in the past, they have gone for it. If Syndergaard really is on their radar, I think that puts them in the driver's seat.
Mark, If your Pirates had been in a boxing match last night the referee would have stopped it in the 4th round. We always get a few of these kind of games every season.
John, I think the Brewers are going to stay in the race with or without Syndergaard but I agree with you that they will have an edge if they get him.
well looks like my Pirates will soon be at the bottom of their division soon to be tied with Cincy.
Mark, Isn't it crazy how this game called baseball works? At he beginning of the season it appeared that nobody could beat the Pirates and the Reds couldn't beat anybody and now the Pirates are in danger of taking away the basement from the Reds. A crazy game!
It has been exactly 8 months since the Pirates gave 4 yr extensions to both Hurdle and Huntington. at the signing Huntington commented on just how far the Pirates came under their prior contract. from my viewpoint the Pirates have regressed big time. the young pitchers are not getting the job done. Defensely we are near the bottom. some progress.
Mark, What do you think is different about the Pirates of today vs. the Pirates who came out of the gate at the beginning of the season beating every team in sight?
I honestly don't know. I don't get to see their games as we no longer have the Pittsburgh sports channel .
The Cardinals are having a good west coast road trip so far but the problem is the Brewers and Cubs keep winning.
Pirates lose again today. This is starting to sound like a broken record.
Mark, My redbirds are 4-2 on their west coast road trip so far and gained a game today on the Brewers, who lost, but the Cubs won. Chasing two teams is not fun but I hope we can be within striking distance with the all star break coming up.
Another game where Matheny leaves a pitcher in too long. If Matheny is managing the Cardinals next year it will be a travesty. I know he's dealing with the players Mo gave him, but he can NOT manage a bull pen. Please DeWitt, fire Mo, Matheny, and Mabry. This Cardinal team needs a total make over.
