Some interesting early performers:

McCleod and Bastian have been absolutely tearing it up for Missauga since being returned from Devils Camp.

The two have combined for 21 points through their first 6 games back.

Good lord... that's our super duper duo right there... might be premature but definitely prospects/assets that are untouchable ATM

Yeah the Devils couldn't be any happier with this duo ATM. Drafting line-mates with your top 2 picks. Both had good camps. Now they're both skyrocketing in production.

Last Year:
Bastian: .92 P/G
McCleod: 1.07 P/G

THIS YEAR:
Bastian: 1.63 P/G -- 4-9-13
McCleod: 1.63 P/G -- 1-12-13

Keep an eye on Brandon Gignac too. He's also sn elite skater. And is off to a great start this season in Shawinigan.

McLeod and Bastian Wrap Up Season in Mississauga

Mississauga's captain and New Jersey's 2016 first-round pick (12th overall) Mikey McLeod led the Steelheads with 27 points (11g-16a) in 20 games played during the playoffs, which ranks him fifth among all OHL skaters. Nathan Bastian had himself a very solid postseason run as well, totaling 7g-7a in 20 games played. Bastian was the 6'4", 205lb. right-winger who the Devils selected with their second-round pick (41st overall) last June. McLeod and Bastian's continued dominance is an encouraging sign for the Devils offseason outlook and keeps a bright light shining on the Devils future.

Very encouraging.

I mean they're both important. Centers you need to be able to get back on D or catch up to the play in transition. On the wing you need that breakaway speed to create space and get open.

It says Devils plan to use him at wing but want him to be competent at center just in case.

I like to see him at wing as well... playing C is an added bonus or vice versa....

Is that where Quenneville sees himself the best? I remember he was drafted a C(or C/W) but i guess W suits him... no problem for me.

LETS GO NICO!

All of our young guys are centers so someone has to be moved. We won the first game of the prospects challenge in OT.

AHL Coach said that Q is definitely better as a winger.
