Looked really good for the first 29 minutes but it all fell apart in the last minute of the first half. Poor Beathard had guys on him before the snap even reached him. How can professional O Linemen be that bad?

Lack of depth on oline which most teams probably have an issue is. Trent Brown is probably our best lineman and not having him yesterday really hurt. Yesterday we ended up only having our original starting center playing out of the five lineman.

Defense played well, the offense did not, and the injuries were ridiculous. When the o-line is depleted, and the QB has little pocket awareness....yeah.....you aren't winning many games unless you bring the '76 Steel Curtain along.

I think Fletcher Cox did a cheap shot on Staley. The league is reviewing the play now. Gilliam had his knees taken out by a dlineman.

Staley is now out for a few weeks as well. Poor Beathard.

Is it just me or does if feel like everyone is dropping like flies across the league??

It isn't you. This has been a problem in the NFL for the last decade plus, and it's only getting worse. It really puts a strain on my interest in the game.

With Hoyer's experience I thought the 49ers could win two games. With Beathard, unfortunately, though they get to see what he has and get him some experience, they can't win any games.

I think the change was made simply to see what the kid can offer before they make a big decision next year when it comes to QBOTF. I'd like to see wins, as would anyone, but I can sacrifice some for the sake of finding out if Beathard can at least be a competent backup (I don't see him as starter material) but the injuries have decimated that O-line. The best quality you're gonna see out of CJ is the trait he's mostly known for - toughness.

Read a little earlier a source claims Lynch/Shanahan are high on Darnold. I also read from a USC source that he probably won't declare.

From what I've seen/read/heard, he should return for another year.

Ha ha! Would you if you knew the 49ers were waiting for you? I wouldn't wish that O Line on my worst enemy.
