Malkin taking a lot of high sticks might have something to do with him being really tall, getting a lot of ice time, and being a little careless with his stick at times. That's not terribly surprising. I wouldn't have expected Crosby at the top of the slashing heap, but he's starting to remind me of Steve Yzerman as far as competitive drive, and Yzerman liked to hack when he got mad, so maybe that's not too surprising.

Burrows with goalie interference calls? I'm shocked!!

(actually I'm surprised it wasn't Holmstrom)

So, I figure all the Sens need to do is hang a large picture of John Conner behind the visitor's goal at Scotiabank Centre. Sens would be unstoppable at home.

I'm not surprised Sid got called for the most slashing calls. He does it all the time, either battling for the puck or, well, trying to get a point across to opposing players.

Malkin has just taken so many minor penalties this year he was bound to lead the league in one category...
