And on top of that, an additional $60 off my regular bill. Man, I'm good.

You know, I have a problem with this. I get wanting to save money, feeling like the $300 yearly fee is too high for the NFL Sunday Ticket, etc. But it's stealing when you get down to it. It's like what Gene Simmons of KISS said when he was asked why KISS may not put out another album, basically stating that why should the band put in the time and effort to release new music when it will be pirated and copied and given away for free.

No negotiations for me this year. I cancelled after last football season. I got the Ticket for free the last 2 years and am pretty confident I could do it again, but I was tired of paying for 12 months of something I wasn't using. I pretty much get all the TV I need through some combination of streaming services. Sports can be tough.

I have some friends with the Ticket..... I might throw some dollars their way for their login info and then stream it to my television or computer. Or, I'll stick with my original plan of not watching the Bengals this season.

If I'm at a bar on Sunday when the game is on I'll give it a glance. I really couldn't care less, though. The NFL is a joke. Shit is rigged.

I'm not skipping out on lawn care or family activity to watch those bozos. My life no longer revolves around those games.

I have cable with internet, phone and security, and spending $229/mo. I ready to get rid of the phone and security, have to keep the internet, but want to get rid of my cable, but sling doesn't carry CBS, and 75% of what me and my wife watch is on CBS. Then of course the wife likes Hallmark. Which we can't find on a couple other services. I just want all my local channels including the CW, with ESPN, NFL Network, Hallmark, Fox Sports Ohio, A&E. How do you get these services without paying for all the fluff of everything else?

Television should be al-a-cart when it comes to cable programming. I don't even like seeing all the other dang channels on my list, because I just have to scan through them. Granted, I could set up my menu to only show my stations, but I shouldn't have to. This is what i am paying for on a monthly basis, this is my charge. Oh, Reds season is over, I will cancel Fox Sports Ohio because I will not need it until spring. Simple, affordable, to the point.

You would think, eventually, this will happen. As more and more streaming services become available, cable is going to be forced to compete. Hulu now offers live streaming with most of the channels I watch: ESPN, ESPN 2, Fox Sports, local channels, Disney for the kids...etc...$40 a month.

Thanks Cincygrad! Called them up and told them who I was and they said, "yes, we have a note here from another happy customer giving us orders to drop you ticket fee."

I had DirecTV from 2010 and got Sunday Ticket free or reduced every year. Couldn't get On Demand to work correctly and had their service come over twice to figure out why everything buffered and quit. Pretty simple,
Comcast change their WiFi encoding and DirecTV's satellite couldn't steal it anymore. Basically, Comcast is telling these other services that they are not going to allow them to grab their WiFi signal and use it to improve their service. FAA told everyone that the WiFi is not a free signal and if they want to use it, pay for it.

After seven years I switched back to Comcast and saved $97 a month and got a land line telephone.

Just internet and WiFi from Comcast was costing me $88 a month on to of $211 for DirecTV. Now I pay $199 a month for everything. Screw Sunday Ticket.
