Don't be obtuse. Violation of the conduct policy isn't limited to criminal acts or things that result in arrest.

It's sad that these players keep getting suspended without any evidence. All it take is for a girl to make a claim, and the NFL automatically believe her.

I don't think any of us know that there isn't any evidence. Burden of proof is also a big factor here. In a criminal case, it is "beyond a reasonable doubt" but in civil court it's only "preponderance of the evidence." I am assuming the NFL's conduct policy carries a standard closer to the civil court. This is why you're going to see players get in trouble by the league even though the law may not come after them to the point where they're prosecuted or even charged with a crime.

I do agree that it's dangerous to be in a place where accusation = guilt because accusations don't cost a thing, but I really doubt anyone here has seen all the evidence that the NFL has been provided.
