I find this tough. Dickerson played before I got into football. Thurman played when I was early getting into football. I rooted for the Bills because the rest of my family rooted for them, and their excuse was that they didn't like Jerry Jones and they like Thurman Thomas better than Emmitt Smith. At 8-10 years old, that was good enough for me.

I also don't know much about the Rams in the 80s. It seems early 90's Buffalo was loaded with talent (as Cowboys, 49ers, and other teams were). I don't hear much about Rams in the 80's. I also hear about Eric Dickerson a lot more, but he has also been shown on TV in recent years as guest on shows.

But it seemed Dickerson was better than anybody else at taking advantage of holes. Even if there was a little hole, he was gone. At least, that is what I gotten from people talking on TV. I don't really remember what really separated Thurman Thomas from anyone
