That sound nice but doesn't really match reality unless you want to go back quite a ways. With the exception of the Cards every Redskins loss last season was to a playoff team. 2015 was not quite like that but pretty close - they primarily lost to very good teams (& won the division). In 2013 & 2014 they just stunk - period - so they lost to all types of teams. 2012 was another playoff season & their 6 losses were early (when they were not ready) & primarily to pretty decent teams.

I think that your statement is accurate in terms of teams prior to this time, but that consisted of a completely different coaching staff & primarily players who are long gone. This is a different team entirely. Could they choke against the 49ers? Sure - but I don't think it has any relation to what has occurred in the past. This is sort of like how the media likes to show these trends in series between given teams when the results quite often are based on things from a very long time ago which have zero impact on the current game. We will see.

For us old folks, I still remember the 15-1 Redskins that won the Superbowl that year... the only team we lost to.. Dallas who went 1-15 that year.

But yes Im hoping this really is a different team and not the good old, we are the cure for what ails you Redskins.
