I still like our chances. I'm never going to bet against the Birds, but even looking at it as objectively as possible, I still think we match up well against the Vikings. Minnesota was 10th in points scored this year, at 23.9 per game. For comparison, the Saints were 4th at 28.0 points per game (we were 3rd at 28.6- obviously very much in part to Wentz).

And yes, Minnesota does have a great defense, ranking 1st in points per game at 15.8 points. But I feel like our run game (if we run the ball enough) is so good that it can make up for Foles' middling performances.

In the Atlanta game, we ran the ball 32 times to 30 pass attempts. When was the last time an Eagles playoff game ended with more rushes than passes? Honestly? I've got to give it to Doug for establishing the run when Foles started out very shaky, and also for not abandoning it even when Foles got going.

Let's go Eagles.

I hope Case Keenum loves a nice cold wind to throw into...

Win field position, time of possession, turnovers and stop the run. Could be a very low scoring game... many small victories could turn into a big victory.

It's the best matchup for us. Still not a favorable one, but we have a better shot against the Vikings than we would have against the Saints.

Now, if we can overcome the odds, and Jacksonville can somehow beat the Pats, maybe we have a shot...

And if Wentz was healthy I'd rather have the Saints... but if its gotta be low scoring, I guess the Vikings are the best shot.

looks like the long term forecast is good for next Sunday so it appears Weather won't be a big issue. Now that crap field you have over there is another story. Should be a tough game and both teams should be optimistic:suds:

It's funny because both fan bases have the same reasoning for winning this game. They have a backup qb against our strong defense. 10-6 is my score. I just don't know who wins yet.

Same formula applies as the last game, run the ball and execute defensively - we must make sure that we contain Diggs and Thielen as much as possible, they cannot break us with big plays.

We must win the turnover battle as well. I've noticed with Minnesota this year when they jump out to early leads, it spells trouble for the opposing team because their Defense is so good. We have to make this game as ugly as we can.

Go Birds!!!

Love facing an indoor team. Welcome outside, bitches.

Give me some Agholor this week. He looks ready to break out. A few big plays are going to be the difference in this one. Shouldn't be much scoring.

The weather forecast for Sunday is a high of 53, and partly sunny, so I doubt the weather will be any factor.

The Linc field has had some loose divots to it, unless they have it fixed somehow, so it is not in very good shape, and the Falcs and the Eagles were having some slippery issue on Saturday.

I don’t know. They play at 6:40 so the temperature will probably be in the 40s for most of the game. Also, forecasts this far out can be inaccurate. A week ago, they were forecasting much warmer weather for the Eagles-Falcons game.

It's gotta be another low scoring game. No turnovers. Field position.

I have to agree with the Vikes fan here.....with a caveat. IN JANUARY the Linc is a crap field. It looked about as good as I can remember in a January game last Sunday and they were all still slipping all over the place. The slips went our way last week....that is no guarantee from week to week.

Why they have just not gone to the fake stuff yet is beyond me.

i'm counting on this being an awesome game, because i think we can all agree that new england vs. jacksonville, AIN'T gonna be an awesome game. so please, eagles and vikings, give me a "last possession wins" type of finish, because the AFCCG will likely be unwatchable past the 1st quarter.
