In a perfect world stadiums will be built solely by team and NFL money. The only financial responsibility of the city/state is giving the land where the stadium is built and teams should have to pay that off over time from revenues. I will give Snyder props if he doesn't hold the city hostage.

It is actually a mixed bag. Pretty good link here - some stadiums are totally funded by the private sector & some all w/ public funds. Sponsorship can make up for quite a bit. Also - in terms of public funding - a lot of times these are not funds from the general residents (income tax, sales tax) but rather things like tourist like taxes, lottery funds, ticket tax, etc. I don't really have much of a problem with that.

One thing that I do like, seats in the 100 levels will bounce:yes:

That would require FANS in the 100 sections to actually move and get off their asses though. LOL

Did anyone expect a brilliant design to come from a "conservative Architect" in the heart of DC?
Heh, I expected avant garde but the water motif came out of left field for me.

Location isn't even close to being decided tho.

Plenty of time to cut-out all the bells-n-whistles crap before the final design is oked, but that stadium design looks good to me.
True, I'm pretty sure the water/picnic stuff is geared more towards off football season activities.

Think of it as an ice skating rink in January. :thumb:

My guess is, the moat would need to have some sort of artificial current in order to keep it from becoming a mosquito love nest in the summer. So just imagine falling into the semi mobile waters in January after a playoffs game.

That alone would mean they would need some serious safety protocols in place around Snyder Coliseum.

Who knows what type of technological advances will be made by the time this damn thing is built. We are not exactly talking about the next few years. Any guesses on the avg seat or parking prices? I am guessing that they will be through the roof.

Read it would use wave pool technology

Could be wrong but my guess is the moat doesn't make the final draft.

Is that the Wash Monument in the back of pic 2? Let's speculate!
