In a perfect world stadiums will be built solely by team and NFL money. The only financial responsibility of the city/state is giving the land where the stadium is built and teams should have to pay that off over time from revenues. I will give Snyder props if he doesn't hold the city hostage.

It is actually a mixed bag. Pretty good link here - some stadiums are totally funded by the private sector & some all w/ public funds. Sponsorship can make up for quite a bit. Also - in terms of public funding - a lot of times these are not funds from the general residents (income tax, sales tax) but rather things like tourist like taxes, lottery funds, ticket tax, etc. I don't really have much of a problem with that.
