This has been my wife's fantasy car. She wanted candy apple red, but we paid what we think is a good price. Best of all, my wife is really excited about the purchase.

Ours has been restored and is a darker blue(deep ocean blue maybe). We are having blue lap seatbelts installed just to be safe with state laws. Of course, those have to be ordered.

The car will just be an around town cruiser. We do not expect this to be a profitable investment, just a fun car to drive for awhile, then sell it and if we make money, yippee. Unless our kids want it. But kids nowadays don't want old things or collections.

We are having the car delivered, not driving it from where we purchased it.

My wife's new fantasy car is a Cadillac Biarritz(spelling) convertible. Three years ago, we could have purchased one for $83,000, now they go for over $100,000. I wanted to pull the trigger but my wife chickened out on that one.

I had her approval to buy a 1956 Ford Thunderbird with the porthole removable top, when I tried to sit in it, I quickly realized the T Bird would be very, very uncomfortable for me to sit in. After that, I no longer wanted a T Bird. My advice, if you want a 1955-1957 T Bird be no taller than 5' 6" tall.

I will take anyone's advice about a 1957 Chevy Bel Air convertible.

We will put PREMIUM gas in it.
It will mostly sit in a climate controlled garage and will only be driven on sunny days from May through October. The windshield wipers on the car are teeny tiny.
When stored, we will keep the top up most of the time.

Beautiful car OP. :cool2:

Thanks.

I already purchased Meguiars wax for the car. Both Carnabua for the car and Liquid Wax for the wheels.

I am now trying to figure out what a good rag top cleaner is.

Raggtopp is what I will probably use and then McKees Plexall for the vinyl window.
