Hood has Kobe like moments, then he goes into a coma for 4-5 games

I can't believe it, you're right. That is Derek Fisher broadcasting. I had no idea he was doing that.

NBA TV just showed the broadcaster names.

Sadly, whenever I think of Kobe now, I think of that last game last year. It's embarrassing to lead in the 4th quarter, and end up giving 60 points to a guy in his last game.

Kirilekno brought it for a few years, but he looked like he'd be someone to build around for many years. His run was too short.

Remember when he sucked so bad after game 1 of the 2007 playoffs, that he cried after the game? That's how bad he'd gotten.

Luckily he had enough confidence to hit the 3-pointer in game 7 against Houston.

I think Sloan wasted a year of Brewer in 2006-2007 by playing Fisher over Brewer. I kept saying that year that it was time to play Brewer, as he was young and had shown enough to develop him more.

Yes, he never got that jump shot. But still, if he could stick to just drives and getting to the foul line, would have been better than what Fisher brought.

I still think fondly on those 2 years versus Yao and Tmac. Those were classic dog fights. Too bad the seedlings didn't work out. We had their number and LA had ours. Had the bracket flipped, I think Houston would have beaten LA. Then we had the rockets number

I just love how versatile Diaw and Johnson are.

They never look like they're trying to do something they can't do.

Do you remember earlier in the season when Hood went off on LA for 30 in the first half? Then Kobe came out and face guarded him for the rest of the game. I was pissed on that homage to Kobe last game...we should have been all over him in a similar way. Instead the team just stood around like fan boys

I have mixed feelings.

I'm glad the Jazz won.

But I think they should have needed less than 7 the first time in 2007, and they should have needed less than 6 in 2008 (especially with a 3-1 lead).

Just wish they could have closed out those series stronger.

As you said though, they were were dog fights.

I'll say the 1st was definitely a classic dog fight.

But the 2nd, they should have won in less games.

Cannot believe the Clippers let last nights Kings game get away. I thought for sure the 4th seed was gone for us. Still probably is a goner, but not out of the question.

Do you think Demarcus and Davis can coexist and thrive next year?

Not exactly sure how Mack lost favor. Then he got injured. Glad to see him get some time even if he is rusty

How about Jrue Holiday in place of Hill next year? Jrue will be a free agent, unrestricted.

No one guards Anthony Davis as he retrieves a loose ball, dribbles past halfcourt, and pulls up.

He has 22 for the half.

Cmon guys. That's the one guy who shouldn't have anything easy.

Sure.

But honestly, when I heard the 3-team trade for getting Hill, my first reaction was "why didn't they get Teague"?

Teague could have been had in the 3-team deal, and he's a little better than Holiday (and not injury prone).

I'm not down on Hill either, I just don't think they should max him out. He had a phenomenal start but is regressing to his mean.

They over play everything...is that good or bad? Something our opponents exploit?

Yes, but the overall Pelicans defense is not that great.

Not just against the Jazz, but they allow too many easy baskets.

We are a much better team when Hood is the second horseman, hitting from range

It's kind of inspirational to see a fat guy like Diaw be a contributor in the nba
