Larry Asante had one goal in mind Thursday: Better his 4.62-second 40-yard dash from the NFL Combine.

The safety said he ran a 4.55. It helped being healthy after aggravating a sore hamstring two weeks before going to Indianapolis.

“Everybody wants to run faster, but I'm satisfied,” he said. “They said they wanted to see me anywhere in the 4.5 range — and that's what they got today.”

Also running a solid 40 was receiver Chris Brooks, who reportedly was clocked at 4.43 seconds

didnt know brooks was that fast

The Chris Brooks situation was so crazy for 4 years. All you ever heard about every year from Nebraska DBs when asked who is the toughest WR to cover in practice the guy most mentioned was Brooks. It is so weird that it never translated on gameday.

Apparently Matt O'Hanlon wowed the scouts that was there and helped himself out.

I could have swore Brooks was fighting injuries before this season and had some off the field issues too.. I think if our QB didn't have a bum arm, he would have been utilized more effectively
