Anybody that has more than one sec team as a favorite is fodder for you.....but the big10 has its share of Wal-Mart fans too

team sec? sweeeeeet.... of course bama is the bell cow. i love me some bama, however, i do pull for sec teams that are playing out of conference. the 2 most difficult to pull for are tennessee and auburn. here where i'm from, tn is bama's biggest rivalry game with auburn second.

sec sec sec...

More teams, with good kickers, will just instruct them to have line drive type kicks that have a bounce
to them..

I think this is what you'll see and the unintended consequences rule will become apparent when a whole different kind of kickoff, with just as many injuries, or more, happen.

Do you not think that one guy who is an Alabama & LSU fan and another who is an Alabama, LSU, & Georgia the epitome of TeamSEC mentality?

I can think of 11 other SEC teams missing.

I'm all for player safety but this seems to be taking a bit far.

Agree.

Coaches will work around this if it becomes a problem for their team. They have already learned
to angle kick, to keep them from getting the ball at the 25 and force more returns.

For coaches receiving, if they fair catch, they deny themselves an offensive play. Why would they do
that? Will they put the burden on the player? Fair catch anything inside the 5 yard line? Field
everything else?

I could see favorites fair catching more than underdogs. You get an upset when you take back some
kick, recover a fumble, get an onside kick, have a trick play. An underdog fair catching to get the
ball at the 25 is not going to help them one bit. They will wind up doing what they do after a kick goes
into the end zone. Punt, four downs later.

if they had to make this rule, they should have went back to the 20 yard line. stop punishing good kickers and cover teams.

btw, i'm new, so howdy everybody
