Three-star defensive tackle Aaron Curry (Keller, Texas/Fossil Ridge) has signed a national letter of intent with Nebraska.

Curry, who did not commit until today, also had offers from Arizona, Boston College, Boise State, Indiana, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri and Ole Miss.

The 6-foot-2, 260-pounder is a three-technique that has the motor to be an active and productive player at the next level.

Virtually every recruiting insider projected five-star wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham (Springfield, Mo./Hillcrest) to be a Razorback. However, the nation’s premier skill position prospect announced his intention to sign with Missouri Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. ET live on ESPN.

Alabama, Oklahoma and Texas were also in the mix for Green-Beckham, the No. 3 player in the ESPNU 150 and top uncommitted prospect heading into signing day.

Arguably the nation’s most coveted 2012 recruit, Green-Beckham also picked up scholarship offers from LSU, USC, Ohio State, Florida, Notre Dame, Auburn, Michigan, Missouri, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa and Miami-FL among several others.

The 6-foot-6, 220-pounder caught 300 passes for a national-record 6,353 yards (21.2 average) and 75 touchdowns during his high school career. As a senior, Green-Beckham completely dominated his competition posting 119 receptions, 2,233 yards (18.8 average) and 24 touchdowns.

Once his faxed arrives in Columbia, Green-Beckham will become the highest-rated signee for Missouri in the ESPNU 150 era.

Worse news of the day (I thought he was a better prospect than # 1 rated Mario Edwards):

Signing day switch for Dante Fowler
February, 1, 2012
Feb 110:51AM ET

ESPNU 150 defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. (St. Petersburg, Fla./Lakewood) was committed to the Seminoles for almost 14 months. But Florida State found out Wednesday that a 14-month verbal commitment does not equal a signature, as Fowler broke the hearts of Seminole Nation and picked the archrival Gators, ESPN's GatorNation.com reports.

Fowler, a 6-foot-3, 235-pound prospect with 4.6 speed, also received scholarship offers from Auburn, USC, South Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio State and Tennessee, among several others.

LSU, Oklahoma State, UCLA, Florida State, Kentucky, Nebraska, Clemson, Alabama, Oregon, Texas Tech, Auburn, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State and Tennessee were among the other programs to offer earlier in the process.

Elston was a standout on the combine circuit during the offseason posting a 4.41 40-yard dash, 4.1 20-yard shuttle and 34.4-inch vertical.

Kwon Alexander goes out of state

February, 1, 2012
11:07AM ET

Under Armour All-American outside linebacker Kwon Alexander (Oxford, Ala.) announced his decision to attend LSU Wednesday live on ESPN at 11:05 a.m. ET. He selected the Bayou Bengals over Alabama, Auburn and Florida State.

Alexander made official visits to Baton Rouge (Oct. 21), Tallahassee (Nov. 18) and Auburn (Nov. 25). Arkansas, UCLA, USC, Florida, Kentucky, Michigan, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Clemson, Mississippi State, Illinois, Miami-FL and Texas Tech also offered the No. 27 player in the ESPNU 150.

He exploded onto the recruiting scene as a sophomore when he earned first all-county recognition. His athleticism was verified on the combine circuit where he’s posted a 4.51 40-yard dash, 4.2 20-yard shuttle and 33.8-inch vertical. Alexander fell out of the spotlight some this fall after sustaining a season-ending torn ACL which prevented him from competing in the Under Armour All-America Game.
