Than Chad Smith and Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers

When you hear them and watch them play together, it's like your eardrums are having an orgy with your soul

Alright, one more... Flea and Chad Smith promoting Flea's attempt to get into the affordable, entry level bass market...

I think it might be kind of tough to find a better choice for this topic than...
The Pixies...up to and including, but not limited to, all of Frank's many different manifestations....

...also The Smashing Pumpkins were top notch w/ Billy Corgan, James Iha, Jimmy Chamberlain & D'arcy W.

So many more......where do I begin????

I don't know why, but the Chili Peppers bore the shit out of me these days.

Everything after "blood sugar sex magic" is awful. I never understood how their californication crap had so much acclaim

Weather Report and Pat Metheny Group are tighter and more exciting than every group mentioned so far, FWIW.

flea's a genius

there are a few lesser known progressive rock bands that i'd say have better musicians on bass and drums, like Dream Theater and Spock's Beard. too bad they can't write songs to save their lives.
