So, here are the "10" best players in college basketball. My vote would probably have to be for Frank Mason but how in the world is UK's Monk not on the list?

I get it... I'm biased but the numbers are beyond enough to get the kid in the top 10.

Ball Lonzo Freshman G UCLA Pac 12
Happ Ethan R-Sophomore F Wisconsin Big Ten
Hart Josh Senior G Villanova Big East
Jackson Justin Junior SF North Carolina ACC
Jackson Josh Freshman G Kansas Big 12
Kennard Luke Sophomore G Duke ACC
Mason III Frank Senior PG Kansas Big 12
Motley Johnathan Junior F Baylor Big 12
Swanigan Caleb Sophomore F Purdue Big Ten
Williams-Goss Nigel R-Junior G Gonzaga West Coast

I'd probably take Swanigan or Hart. It's possible Madonna insurance the award yet he probably isn't even the best PG in his own league lol

I also think it's Swanigan.

Hart and Mason are on better teams, and one of them will probably win, but they have a lot of help. On Villanova in particular, Brunson is not far behind Hart for MVP, and there's balance after that.

OTOH, take Swanigan off of Purdue and you have a bubble team at best. Some decent pieces but nothing like what Wisconsin has.

Guy literally carries that team.

Kennard IF he keeps it up... (Homer pick) but in reality it should be Hart or Ball.

Not to diminish what Frank Mason has done(I think he'll win the award) but he could go down as possibly the worst winner of this award in the history of the award. I think Lonzo is the best player out of them all, but he doesn't have the numbers to back it up IMO(even though his numbers are very good).

Kind of surprised to not see Wake's Collins as a finalist.

That's why these lists are pretty useless. You basically have to play for a top 20 team to make the list. And you pretty much have to play at one of the makor conference teams. As is the top 4 scorers on major conference basketball didn't even make the list ( Fultz, Monk, Thornwell, Jok )

Yeah you could argue he's been the most efficient player in college basketball(he leads in PER)

Collins' PER is 36.3 at the moment.

Happ is at 33.5
Ball is at 24.8
Hart is at 28.1
Justin Jackson is at 21.9
Josh Jackson is at 23.7
Kennard is at 25.1
Mason is at 24.2
Motley is at 27.4
Swanigan is at 26.7
Williams-Goss is at 25.9

Collins' is also averaging 19 and 10. But as @rmilia1 said this award usually goes to someone on a top 10/15 team.

I would've had Collins, Thornwell, Colson and Fultz on my list along with Happ, Swanigan, Hart, Ball, Kennard and Williams-Goss
