I took him over Miller(because I'm unsure of his role), Hopkins, and Baldwin in that spot. It was a matter of the big play. No matter what no receiver drafted early is really worth starting every week. You have to know the games he would do well in and he was a bit predictable with the saints. But that Arizona game was unpredictable.
that early i want an every week starter

So I draft a receiver who has been known to be a 4th round receiver or a receiver I don't know will get 15 targets a game like 2015.

Last season Baldwin or Hopkins were not reliable every week. Hopkins had a bad qb but that qb was also trying to get other receivers involved. Baldwin contended with Graham for top receiving production each week. And both those receivers were unpredictable. Baldwin showed up in big games though.

BPA btw was Miller, Baldwin, Gronk.

Just did my first ESPN mock in prep for the league draft

1-Nelson
2-Murray
3-Kelce
4-Brady
5-Cook(Dalvin)
6-Moncrief(had the option to get Riddick but needed the number 2 receiver)
7-Meredith(not too sold because of new QB and KWhite)
8-Forte(now he's starting)
9-Hunt
10-Ginn Jr
11-Henry(Derrick)
12-TyWilliams
13-Ravens dst
14-Clay
15-Foreman(over Connor and Joe Williams)
16-Novak

So this was a "bpa" draft. Nelson could bust but this is a mock and besides I have some protection there. Because I took Murray, I took Brady in fourth. The plan is to get Mariotta among the second tier QBs but I really did not like what was there in fourth round among the RB/WRs. I don't know what to expect with vikings backfield, so I took the stab at two other prospective RBs plus backup insurance. Forte was one of the last few starting RBs so I took him when his ranking was close. And if late last season was any indication, Clay could have a top ten year.

Name the team "Rookie Fever"

I think Clays season(being good) is going to be very dependent on whether or not Boldin signs with the Bills. If he does expect him to vulture away Clays value.

Is there news Buffalo will sign him? Boldin's gonna decline at some point. He can't keep doing what he's doing. I never intended for it to be rookie fever and that's really only the RBs as a lot were drafted this year and backing up questionable RBs.

Taylor trying to spread it around will not work. The minute that happens Boldin's cut and things will be back to normal. I mean Goodwin and Woods appeared to be his top passing targets until Clay came on and Watkins came back and they were phased out.

He was talking with Buffalo yesterday, but he probably waits until preseason starts to sign with anyone. Baltimore, Buffalo, and Detroit have all shown interest in him.

Clay shows up for less than a handful of games every year. He has talent, but it's used few and far between. Even when depleted at WR, he was nowhere most of the time. A kick returner was our WR1 for a stretch last year.

If you draft Clay, don't expect to start him every week....or even half the weeks.

I know that, I start him in TE friendly mathups like late last season.

more, they dont have great ones.........

They have Maclin, Wallace, Perriman, Pitta, Watson, and Woodhead. They don't need Boldin AT ALL. The ravens are trying to create the NFL version of a "super team".

All it will do is hurt the fantasy value of any of the receivers(not that it already hasn't), but it looks like he's thinking of bills.
