I am not sure who else you put up there though Papa, after OSU and NW, who else would be 3rd? I would have to go Nebraska over Michigan right now as well since UM had such a poor showing vs Akron (had to have the refs bail them out) and then UConn as well. MSU is not better than Nebraska, you can't really put Wisconsin there, Iowa is still too young, Illinois well...no, Penn State? I don't think so at this point either. 3-10 is really a dartboard right now until someone takes down NW or OSU and comes forward.

I am not too sure about any of those teams, they seem destined to beat up on each other on the way to the bowl seeds and not sure if this means the B10 is good or not really. I still think the P12 is the best right now followed by SEC and then tie for B10, ACC and then B12 and last the new American

Ohio State is obviously #1. I can't put Northwestern any lower.

I was more impressed with Nebraska when they lost to UCLA compared to Michigan when they beat Akron.

I think UCLA is far better than Notre Dame. Also, I can't put Michigan State above Michigan at this point because of Notre Dame.

With Wisconsin's 2 losses, I have a hard time putting them higher. However, they did come close to beating OSU, so I can't put Iowa above them.

Illinois and Penn State is pretty much a tie.

Minnesota's loss drops them 2 spots. Indiana has a great passing game, but that's it. Any good passing defense can stop them. Purdue is just terrible.

I would put Wisconsin 2nd until someone (other than tOSU) from the Big 10 proves otherwise.

The rest are up for grabs.

I'd suggest a tie at the #3 slot between Nebraska and Michigan.

I'd also vote to move Wisconsin ahead of Michigan St.

Iowa to Purdue seems about right. Maybe flipping Illinois and Penn St???

Wisconsin got robbed at ASU..period..who by the way was successful in getting Kiffin fired. ASU in top 25. OSU is still undefeated under Meyers, so how can Wisconsin be so low? Could be 2 of only 3 losses on the season, the other will come against Iowa.

1. OSU
2. Northwestern (this weekend's game w/OSU is critical...lose badly, they drop several slots)
3. Wisconsin (I agree - they were robbed @ ASU...the best 2-loss team in the country)
4. Iowa (if NIU were a B1G team, they'd be #2 on my list)
5. Nebraska
6. Michigan (painful for me to put these slugs ahead of my slugs, but...)
7. Michigan State (is it just me, or were zebras nationwide more reasonable on PI calls this weekend?)
8+ Illinois, PSU, Minny, IU, Purdue

Isn't it kind of crazy how Penn State did a great job last year and yet we all have them so low this year. UCF did a good job this past weekend and I know PSU is young...be interesting to see how they do now in the B10 season; however, I can't argue with their placement right now, still too much needed to see from them.

Fit Maryland and Rutgers in here...and both of them might fit the top half of the conference.

Rutgers, 3-1, lost 52-51 at Fresno State, beat Norfolk State 38-0, beat Eastern Michigan 28-10, beat Arkansas 28-24

Maryland, ranked now, beat Florida International 43-10, Old Dominion 47-10, UConn 32-21 and West Virginia 37-0...then WVU just beat Ok State...weird.

I would have to go with this but again, each team has only one "good" win Rutgers over Arkansas and Maryland over WVU:

1. Ohio State 5-0 (previous week: 1)
2. Northwestern 4-0 (2)
3. Nebraska 3-1 (3)
4. Michigan 4-0 (5)
5. Maryland 4-0
6. Michigan State 3-1 (6)
7. Wisconsin 3-2 (4)
8. Iowa 4-1 (7)
9. Rutgers 3-1
10. Illinois 3-1 (9)
11. Penn State 3-1 (10)
12. Minnesota 4-1 (8)
13. Indiana 2-2 (11)
14. Purdue 1-4 (12)

Now the question is, I know B10 has 8 bowl tie-ins...does that change next year? do we pick up another one?

Penn State is hard to read now but I ll bet we ll hate them when they get off probation. If O Brien can do this now he ll be a killer when he has a full roster.
