Completely forgot he was still a free agent. We've had some shitty performances from our bullpen, and with the way our starting pitching has looked so far, we're going to need all the help we can get from the pen. Soriano is still a good pitcher, I don't see why not add him. As already mentioned, if Rodney implodes (even when he's good, he's terrifying to watch), Soriano can step in.

Ya, you never have enough pitching. So we drop an arm to the minors. Just gives us one more insurance arm we can call up later if needed.

Then go get another legit starter like we should have done in the ff season and we are set.
