Gonzo is our best hope for not getting hit with a broom today. He's going up against Pena who is 1/1 with an ERA 3.34 and has a mean slider. Seems like things are upside down in our division recently. Wonder which team will be the first to break out. If our pitching and offense doesn't show, it sure won't be the M's.

Non M's news that just happened. Newcomb for Braves (Rookie) was one strike away from a no-hitter when Chris Taylor got a hit by 3B. Two pitches before there was a ball at the top of the K-Zone called a ball and could have been strike 3.

That sucks-not too many opportunities like that for a pitcher to get a no hitter.
