I would have no issue trading Leake for something else at this point. You have to ask yourself if you are the Mariners; 'Would he start in a playoff series?'. The answer is 'NO!' so why waste time with him? He wanted to be in AZ so work out a deal with them for bullpen arm or two or prospects.
Just send him down so far into the farm league system that by the time he's ready to come back to the Majors, it's time for him to retire.

AAA Rainiers won't be enough.

Quote from Jerry Dipoto about his "love" of Scott Servais:

"Part of the reason we are in the position we are in, in July of 2018, is because we’ve won a lot of close games,” Dipoto said. “You don’t win close games unless your manager makes good decisions."

Another way to interpret "close games" is because of the decisions of the manager, we have those close games. It's not Scott who wins those close games, he causes those close games. It's Edwin Diaz who pulls Scott's ass out of those close games and wins those close games IMO.
Nailed it!

That's all we need, another Z who has a boner for a manager who doesn't know how to manage.

Gonzo hanging in there pretty good so far. Offense showed up a bit in the 3rd- let's see what happens in the 4th.

Nice to see Marco battle and get out of the inning. Good pitching

I read a Dee stat earlier on here so here is another:

As 2B: 165 AB's, 42H, 5Dbls, 7SB's, .255/.269/.309
As CF: 166 AB's, 54H, 9Dbls, 15SB's, .325/.351/.410

Those are surprising numbers. Defensively he seemed to do a great job in both positions. Sounds like he needs the all star break. Started the season better offensively. He's a high energy guy so maybe he's a little burned out? Just don't know what else to say about it.

Sure would be nice to see Seager do something with 2 outs and Segura on 3rd. Too bad Cruz blew this opportunity.

Ugly. 2 on no outs. Nothing across.
Getting very frustrating watching them play.

Man, our supposed meat of the line up really crapped out this time around. The Mariners just don't seem to have that extra little bit of oomph to really be a playoff team. They just don't come through enough when it really counts. Good teams take advantage in those situations and produce.

This is like the same game we’ve seen 30+ times this year. Score early and don’t add on and hope your pen can hold on again. Would it kill us to put a team away and win by 5 or 6 once in a while
