Is it because of how you played? Because it could be worse than losing on the road to a team that just beats a top 3 team.
thats right the meatchickens lost to this club as well
Iowa does this all the time -- starts out crappy then improves down the road :L:noidea::gaah::scratch:

I'm tired of people forgetting that Nebraska is a beast of a storied program.

It is not okay to get blown out. Not by any team.

Apparently in the past we were never beat up though. Never had to deal with injuries.

It's just now all of a sudden we're unfortunate enough that we're dealing with all these things.

Bunch of slow kids who went to the playoffs last year. They may have started out slow but they were peaking when we got them and we were a mash unit.

By the way, they didn't go to the playoffs.... :dhd:

This wasn't the most embarrassing loss ever IMO. I don't think this is even the worst one this season. He'll nah. Had a feeling we'd lose this game b/c of all the pat on the back attitudes lately as a result of winning 9 games. Would rather not get handled by any team, but after the @$$ woopin tOSU gave us after many a fan (and players) were clamoring for media to buy into this team, nothing hurts our image more than that.
Now for this game...we again got out-coached, out executed, out smarted and out played by a program with half the talent but twice the heart. I am not a fan of Banker, would like a change there. But honestly would not have helped today.

Better recruit size and speed at DT and linebacker (no more slow ass bike-thief Banderas types). I hope to hell our Quarterbacks of the future aren't just big and slow ball slingers - but I suspect they are. Of course none of this matters if the coordinators can't come up with a winning game plan, call a smart game, and the players are consistently out of position.

Need runningbacks that can make things happen, too. We haven't had one who can run away from defenders since Roy Helu. Even Ameer would get caught from behind.
Not that the O-Line has been all that great, but a little bit of speed would make things better.

Tom, on one play yesterday our running back ran to the left side, I counted 4 white shirts on the right side of the line watching him run instead of blocking. The line seems more engaged when pass blocking ~ perhaps it is worked on more in practice - just speculating. Ozigbo is our only hammer at running back and he was held out most of the game for disciplinary reasons. If Riley has a recruiting class ranked in the high teens or twenties, it is no better than what Bo had and it will continue to show on Saturdays. I agree the the Huskers need a running back with speed to read the holes and bust through. Our piss poor defensive alignments and tackling angles made the Iowa running backs look like Heisman contenders yesterday.

I think we saw proof that Riley wouldn't do any better if he had great recruiting classes because the last four years Iowa had 40th and 50th ranked classes, while Nebraska in the same time period had classes in the twenties and even one 17th ranked class. Again, nice homerun hire by Eichorst.

I play in a pool league and one of my teammates is an Iowa fan who has been a Nebraskan all of his life. This ought to be interesting! lol
