anyone else watch the bills game? 0-0 with the 2nd quarter winding down. 2nd and 2 at the jags 4 and they pass. taylor is HORRIBLE! why are they passing? 3rd and 2, they run a draw with taylor and he's a yard short.. which would have been a solid 2nd down play. so you have 4th and 1 at the jags 3 and settle for the FG. nothing wrong with that, it's a defensive game.
jags jump offsides and you have a 1st and goal at the 1. taylor drops back to pass and i yell WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY DOING?! shitty QB throwing a shitty half fade that's not even close.. and they get called for offensive pass interference. kills the drive and they have to go back to the FG. easy QB sneak or quick handoff to big ass tolbert and you'll crack them for the 7-0 lead. instead it's 3-0.
then they have 2nd and 6 at their own 14 with 56 seconds left. 2 jag timeouts left. you RUN the ball, make them use both timeouts and punt it away. jags would have probably had the ball around midfield with 40 or so seconds left. 0 timeouts and kicking into the wind. instead the bills pass twice and kill a whopping 9 seconds. the jags get the ball back and get into FG range with 3 bortles scrambles, thanks to having 2 timeouts left.
instead of a 7-0 lead, it's tied at 3. jags go on to win 10-3. i randomly talk about these errors all year long, saying you can't ignore them just because you win that particular day. if pederson winds up making these types of mistakes.. we're in trouble. and i'm not just talking about this weekend. i really hope he has his shit together and is ready to roll. i don't want to see any trace of andy reid in him.
