I'm good with any of the aforementioned ideas...

NBA teammates
NBA heights
NCAA anything except baseball... and maybe men's volleyball. I wouldn't be too good at that one.
NHL

If we're going with a hoop draft, I would suggest going with UK's height draft. I think it would be easier to navigate with less research needing to be done.

This would be a little different, might suck, but here goes. How about we pick 20 players in 12 rounds, each guy plays a quarter. The catch is, you get 10 individual player picks, and two of your picks are entire starting 5's from any team ever(per Basketball Reference). For example, if you chose the 2017 Cavs, you'd get LBJ, but also the other four starters. The next round, you might take an individual player, but once a player is taken via team pick, he's gone as an individual as well. It would be a 12 round draft, it would be interesting to see the strategies IMO

So what if a player takes Lebron as his individual pick? Then all lineups including Lebron are excluded?

Exactly. You could still pick Kyrie as an individual, but you couldn't take the 2016 Cavs if LBJ went #1.

So whoever gets the #1 pick can just take the showtime Lakers and get Magic and Kareem? Or the mid 90's Bulls and get MJ, Pippen and Rodman??

Yeah that’s the only problem with this, if you get a top pick you are golden.

Yep, that's how it works. That sounds like a huge advantage, and maybe it is, but what if the person picking last got two great starting 5's at once? Or a starting 5 and a top 5 great?. It's different, and since it's my idea, I volunteer to pick last

I was thinking it might be interesting in MLB too. Me have a 12 round draft, you can either take one full lineup from any certain year(9 man lineup, if you take a team without a DH, one if the bench players from that team is your DH), plus you pick 5 individual SP plus 4 BP, along with a RH PH and LH PH( PH cannot start or platoon)
OR
You can handpick your batting order and take your 5 SP from one team and 4 man BP from another....meaning, you either individual pick your 9 man batting order or 9 man pitching staff, but not both

We could make the draft order reverse order of Chamionships won, meaning unless GOAT plays, I'd be last. I ain't scared and I know you aren't either(you're not, are ya?) lol
