For the record, that ump admitted he got it wrong

I agree they still suck, but should be noted
If that one call is the only mistake made, than it was damned good series. The Dodgers as good as gave the Cubs that game by playing Gunderson to begin with -

It's pretty simple, either don't allow the umpires to unionize or MLB needs to step and pay the appeals and say f off and still suspend them. Replay will never be perfect or improve while these unionized umps are allowed to have such big ego's.

Umpires made one mistake, but it didn't cost them the game, time to move on already. The Cubs didn't lose in what was gentleman sweep because of one bad call. The Cubs lost because the Dodgers were better.

4th game of the NLCS.....CUBS ...LA
I guess it's possible for an Umpire to hear a foul tip from 110 feet away, when there's 45,000 fans cheering.
Jim Wolf needs to be suspended. Not only did he originally call Granderson out in tonight's game, he expected other umpires, who were a minimum of 110 feet away to help make the call. They had a video board to help (even though the play is not reviewable) make the call. And they still blew the call. So not only are they incompetent, they're stupid, cowards and of course liars. The worthless umpires eject Joe Maddon when the umpires were wrong.

Joe Torres needs to show some guts and suspend these guys.

And guess what's going to be reviewable next season?

agreed

wtf were they thinking?

The NFL and MLB need to get younger officials who aren't afraid of their own shadows. (athletes)
And of course, I'm in favor of the use of Pitch Tracker in MLB, to calls balls and strikes.
Umpires miss 30 to 40 calls (maybe more) a game.
They want more consistency and faster games, then use it.
It's pretty tough, for a hitter or pitcher, to argue with electronics.

Clayton Kershaw makes $35,571,428 a season (with signing bonus)

that is $1,317,460 a start
that is $203,265 an inning
that is roughly $13,174 a pitch

and the average ticket price for the first game of the World Series is:
$1100

I'd throw at your head if we played baseball.

You could be on my team and I'd still do it.

To paraphrase Sean Connery.....

'Losers have their EXCUSES, while the winners go home and fuck the prom queen.' (I believe many Cub fans have dry little weenies)

The players say, "Owners can afford to pay players more money..They have it to spend."
The players always say, "There is always a player on team X who is getting more money than I do.
I should be getting more than he does, because I have better numbers."

It's the same old story every season.

And exactly, who represents the fans?

Stanton has 285 million left on his contract.......great power hitter.....25 million next season (ten years left on his deal)..... 3 years he gets 32 million a season
Why doesn't any team want Joey Votto?.......great hitter
How bout Ryan Braun?
How bout Miguel Cabrera?
How bout Albert Pujols?
How bout Jason Heywerd?

Is Bryce Harper going to be the first $400,000,000 player........Kris Bryant?

You're paying for them.
