When will the announce this year's version of the "Top 100 Prospects In Baseball"? I always get excited for that.
MLB.com has an updated list pretty regularly. When will the announce this year's version of the "Top 100 Prospects In Baseball"? I always get excited for that.
Yeah, anything can happen with these prospect rankings but the Red Sox have been on a roll with their draft picks lately. Betts, Boegarts and Bradley all came up through the system in the last few years and now they are producing huge big league numbers for just a couple million in salary combined. That's a pretty damn good core.So going by the MLB.com rankings, if you give 100 points for the top guy, 99 for 2nd ranked, etc. Here would be the franchise rankings:
1. Yankees
2. White Sox
3. Pirates
4. Braves
5. Brewers
6. Phillies
7. Red Sox
8. Padres
9. Dodgers
10. Reds
11. Astros
12. Rockies
13. Rays
14. Indians
15. Mets
16. Cardinals
17. Athletics
18. Nationals
19. Mariners
20. Cubs
21. Twins
22. Blue Jays
23. Rangers
24. Tigers
25. Giants
The Marlins, Diamondbacks, Orioles, Angels, and Royals had no players ranked in the top 100.
Crazy that the Red Sox are number 7, and they've traded away 4 of the top 30 in the last year.

Yep, not really worried about the state of the farm right now. Those C+ prospects could turn into B (or higher) prospects down the road. The Sox are no longer a rebuilding team, they're trying to win a World Series.Yeah, anything can happen with these prospect rankings but the Red Sox have been on a roll with their draft picks lately.
