Lebron is a great player that wears #23

2 of the top players ever. Also 2 guys that will always be compared to 1 another. Give me Jordan on this 1.

Another fun comparison thread.

Next time do Hakeem vs John Stockton. Let's all laugh at the big gap in assists and blocks.

or do what todd did and go with Lonzo vs Oladipo

Lebron James is like 7 years younger than MJ at this stage.

MJ had 2 post-prime seasons to drag his numbers down a bit. Its apples and oranges.

It is reasonable to assume that if MJ did not take that break he would have had 8 not 6 rings. Wake me up when LBJ gets even near 5.

Michael Jordan Stats | Basketball-Reference.com

Yep - take away stint w/ Wiz & he averages over 30 pt/game. His winning % would certainly be higher if you only acct for his time w/ the Bulls. Anyhow - these are different eras so the comparison is apples to oranges. As some have alluded to previously - certain stats were hard to come by in the 80s & 90s. Nowadays it is almost as if both teams revel in the fact that a player scores a ton of pts or gets a triple double & they appear to be somewhat contrived many times.

....And MJ took 2 seasons off in the middle of his prime.

Crazy how good MJ was. Just on another planet from everyone else.

If he played today he would be EASILY be an over 40ppg player every single season

If he played today against lesser competition and rules catered to perimeter players he would have more 'ships than Russell. Meanwhile Lebron only has 3.

When Lebron gets 5 or more, maybe we can start discussing. But he probably won't even get to 4 at least not as the "go to player". Maybe at the end of his career as a role player on a super-stacked team

You are so full of crap it isn't funny.

You do realize that team stacking makes it harder to win rings, right? The Bulls were the only stacked team from the 90s era. they were a level above everyone else and it wasn't just because of Jordan.

I say this and I was a huge Jordan/Bulls fan back then.

LeBron's greatest feat is finding a way to be a bigger asshole than Micheal Jordan ever was.
