Stars don’t mean a lot if you have a good enough coach that develops their talent. Do you really think Barry Odom is that type of coach? I and many others don’t.

Very few have that type of ability. It sucks trust me, my team is in the same boat. (Our coach is shit) But saying stars don’t matter is silly.

I don't know.

I do know that most people don't know shit about Odom, so to say he can't develop talent is them just taking a guess

Well, after a couple of years of watching, I see a coach that is struggling.
I hope he turns it around because he seems like a really nice guy.

Didn't he turn it around when he took a 1-5 team and won 6 straight. All blowout wins except the Arkansas game. I think he went from the hot seat to winning over players and fans alike.

We can go by his results. An the results he posted last year where he failed to beat one good team. Would that be just taking a guess?

You didn’t beat a good team. Quit acting like ya ran through the gauntlet.

but if Missouri isn't a good team, why does it matter if they had a winning record without beating a good team?

I wouldn't call it a gauntlet or even top 25 caliber football they played during their streak. The fact is they completely turn things around from playing horrible to winning. They figured it out and now they know how to win. My predictions are not so much about last year. Its the outlook for this year. All the same guys and I'm hoping for improvement. They are really talented on offense but the defense has a lot of question marks.

You are trying to argue they are a good team?

You clowns are pumping up their offense and team for winning their last 6 games, none of which came against a team with a winning record.

No, they aren’t a good team.

No, they aren’t a good team.

Then why does it matter if they didn't beat one last year?

I will say if this team wants to win 9 or 10 games in the near future it has to be this year. A lot of talent leaving and 2019 could be rough.
Yeah, they need a good showing this year because those recruit numbers are going to catch up to them in 2019.

I really think mizzou is going to transition back to a basketball school at some point. College football's parity is trash.

This is the last I'm saying about it till the season starts. To say they won't be a good team is absurd. The Athlon College Football preview magazine has 9 Mizzou players predicted as first, second, or third team all SEC in 2018:
QB Drew Lock
TE Albert Okwuegbunam
WR Emanual Hall
RB Damarea Crockett
OL Paul Adams
DT Terry Beckner
LB Terez Hall
P Corey Fatony
K Tucker McCann

I'd like to know who has a bigger OL than Mizzou. I know bigger isn't better, but its a curiosity. The starting line goes: 340, 330, 315, 340, 315

Is Athlon sports the end all be all now? GMFB

An you are pumping up a team that got all their stats from bad competition.

There is a such a thing as smart recruiting not just getting blue chippers but getting guys they believe in. If you count the stars alone they are on recruit the same as Vandy or Illinois or Iowa State. But for some reason they are better than those teams.
While this can be true, historical data indicate the odds of making the CFP aren't good if you don't have very highly rated recruiting classes the previous few years. Michigan State, Oregon and Washington may have been the only ones that have made it without highly ranked classes. And only one of those has a CFP win. The other two got spanked...by a team that has a highly rated (and often #1) recruiting class every year.

That is great....IF...they also have good feet. If not, those 260 pound, pawing at the ground, snot blowing SEC d-linemen will be blowing by them like the wind.
