Mike Reed, the former NC State DB coach, will be joining the staff. A mediocre hire, at best, if you ask me.

I don't know; we've definitely had some swing and misses in the defensive backfield the past three years though. Seems like when McDaniel, Maxwell, and Gilchrist left it all went to shit. Hard to believe we had NOBODY that could step up...

That STS article lays it on Harbisons recruiting. Says he brought in all these tweeners that aren't good enough to be a true cover corner and limits our D when it comes to cover 1 and man2man. Personally, I don't know. I'm just repeating what I heard.
