    Was on track a little while ago to surpass Babe Ruth's single season WAR record.

    I think he's slipped a bit since, but still, anytime you're on track to break one of Babe Ruth's records, you're probably pretty good. :)

    the problem with that is while the offense might not be too far apart, Martinez has no defensive or baserunning value whereas Trout does. This is reflected by WAR where Trout's is nearly double JD's.

    He still has the interim tag, but Jim Riggleman has my vote right now for NL MOTY.

    The Reds were 3-15 when he took over.

    They're 39-49 now. He's got the Reds playing above .500 under him and they're beating the Cubs again today.

    agreed though Ramos is having a good offensive season (especially by catcher standards). Stassi's the only other AL catcher really hitting (134 OPS+), but he only has 167 PA.
