Didn't read muct and of this thread, but his is an awful idea. It's basically giving him a license to say F it and do whatever he wants. Add to that his usual move after about 5 years and it looks even worse.

I have absolutely 0 concerns about locking Harbaugh up. It would actually be a bit of a relief and dispel some of the NFL rumors every single year. It would also show 100% support in Harbaugh.

This will not happen. Just will not. The only merit I would give to it is this could end up being negotiated "down" to an extension or revised contract.

Lets just indulge Mr. Quinn for a second however and say they do ink a lifetime deal. Contracts can ALWAYS be broken...ALWAYS. If you want to get attorneys involved and pay the money contracts can go away.

In 2017 contracts are just scheduled payments

Losing to Michigan State was not expected, Penn State Sanduskying you was not expected, not having any semblance of an offense or a capable quarterback was not expected, having the worst offensive line in college football should not be just something that is fluffed off as acceptable, and also was not expected.
