If Michigan fans aren’t concerned about what happened with this class they are nuts. Ranked 21st, way over signed at the CB position and a complete whiff on the tOSU recruits.

Wheels are flying off the Harbaugh bandwagon.

From what I read from Michigan fans online

A lot are claiming it's "not a big deal" and "just a down year"

It's a huge deal however.....they signed 11.....friggin 11! players rated 500th+ natioanlly (247 composite)

Offense is what they need most and they mostly failed there

They will be feeling this class for the next 3/4 years, and probably see a good amount of exodus from it as well, causing some depth issues, when they start recruiting to replace those low 3* fillers who they had to settle for this year.

I think the luster of Harbaugh has worn off.....and the production on the field isn't there to make up for that.

IDK what it is, it almost has to be that Harbaugh's personality rubs recruits/parents the wrong way.......it's not a coincidence they are whiffing on all these players.

He has run out of thing to sell. The things that michigan fans think are so outstanding and unique just aren't there:

Academics - Yes, it's good. It's also 2018, you can get an amazing career with a degree from any B1G school if you work hard and get good grades. They're all connected.

Tradition/History - .5 National titles in over half a century. Kids don't give a shit about what happened when the game was played without facemasks and the forward pass.

Jordan Brand sponsorship: Didn't matter in the first place, hasn't done shit for them

What else is there to sell?

Those trips abroad are a nice little bonus. As of now though, these kids see the teams like Bama, Clemson, Ohio State, etc. pouring in high draft picks to the NFL. That has got to be high on any highly touted recruits list even if he doesn't admit it

The electricity in Ohio Stadium with the team, the band, and the crowd is just unbeatable. Not to mention a guy named Urban Meyers and a fantastic record of the number of his players that have been drafted in recent NFL drafts.

This is a big one. I think 20 years ago you could still sell history and win with kids

Kids these days, the great great majority of them, could give two shits about history. It's all about what's hot to them right now.......and Michigan definitely is not that. The program is stuck in a decade long stale state of funk that has been lingering since the Rich Rod era began. I really don't think Harbaugh is the guy to bring them out of that either.

Obviously Harbaughs "NFL PEDIGREE!!!" is a failed pitch. If Michigan wants to get out of their current stale state, they need a young up and comer who brings something exciting to the table. I think theyll hang on to Harbaugh as long as he wants to be there though, that program is so shell shocked from the Rich Rod/Hoke failures that they are "ok" with 8-5 type seasons. It would take some total 5-7/4-8 type flop for termination to ever be considered, Harbaugh does enough to at least float around 8 wins a season. Which is cool if you're Minnesota or Northwestern.

Every single blue blood pulled in a top 10 class except Michigan, who was beaten out by the likes of South Carolina, Tennessee(yes, even after the biggest coaching search fiasco in history, Tennessee still pulled in a better class) and Oregon who is breaking in a new coach that is far from a big name.

I’d like to try and make fun of Michigan’s recruiting class, but it was better than ours.

Yall have a better game day coach, and have proven to be able to beat more talented teams on a regular basis. You have plenty of room to mock them.

Its not a terrible class. It only is in comparison to the last two. It still ranks 3rd in the B10 and our 3 year class average is 11. It’s only concerning if next year is another B class and so far it looks good or on or with harbaughs first two classes. It’s certainly not the end of the world that some are making it out to be.

He has a pretty good track record of graduating kids and getting kids into the NFL. We aren’t going to top OSU until he wins more games. But Michigan is still Michigan. And what we’re going on defense is special. That should attract kids easily.

Penn State is barely removed from a damn kiddy fucking scandle and they're smoking Michigans ass. Michigan better start paying recruits or they'll end up like Rutgers.

The 2019 class might be scary for Michigan too, especially with in-state recruits.......

......I know it's early, but check out the top 12 state of Michigan 2019 recruits:

2019 Top Michigan Football Recruits

As you can see by the 2019 crystal balls, 8 of the top 12 look like Michigan State leans (3 of them already committed to MSU), one already committed to Wisconsin, one as a Notre Dame lean, and one as a Michigan lean, and one uncertain.

That would certainly suck for Michigan if Harbaugh can manage to only get one commit from the top 12 in-state kids next year! And.... this is with the shit storm going on now at MSU.

But.......on the bright side, the Michigan football team is going on a trip to France this Spring!
