Ryan and Rico had a legitimate Michigan guy and a Michigan State guy who could have fun with the rivalry but at the same time put in their biases. I do enjoy when Valenti explodes, after the trouble with the snap game/ 2015 Ohio State game as well as when he wanted to burn down the studio after Middle Tennessee State but it's obvious that a lot of it is just shock jock over the top to get callers. I didn't feel that with R&R.

Agree. I think his MSU stuff is often genuine, but he has admitted to being an "act". However, that act did cost 97.1 the Lions, so...that was not a good move.

Because it's one time and his punishment matched the crime. I actually have no issue with OSU allowing him back on the team, just as I have no problem with Perry being back on the team so long as he serves a decent punishment. The problem with MSU is that players aren't serving a punishment. Guys are getting out of jail and then immediately starting back on the football team in games.

We definitely disagree on that. It's the one disciplinary slip-up of Meyer's IMO, even if the charges were dropped. The dude was a loose cannon, and so was his girlfriend. I had a couple of friends that were bartenders on campus at the time and they said it wasn't uncommon to see those two going at it in public after some drinks. He was a meathead and she was a bitch. Regardless, that's the type of kid you distance from your program.

Yes and no, if he dropped the act then they would probably lose listeners. And the Lions are just as hurt by being on some BS radio station rather than on the only sports radio station in Detroit. I honestly have no idea what station they are on.

Misdemeanor criminal sexual conduct. You're unlikely to get jail time for a misdemeanor sexual assault. He's more likely to get jail time for resisting arrest.

He was suspended from games as soon as this came out and is only practicing with the team right now while he awaits trial. I truly see nothing wrong with how that's being handled.

It's not OK, it should be punished. But this isn't a felony because it's more minor than a felony. I don't think a kid's life should be totally ruined with no second chance because he grabbed a girl's ass in line. He should be punished appropriately in the law and on the team and forced to work his way back onto the team.

Leading returning.....Given we lost 3 pass catchers to the NFL, that's not saying much. He has 23 total catches. That doesn't mean he'll even be a top 3 guy if he ever makes it back on the field.

Right, he's not the leading wide receiver. He was the 4th leading receiver last year, separated by a significant margin between the 3rd ranked. He had 13 catches and a single TD. Even if he never got in trouble and maintained his starting spot at the slot, our two outside receivers will almost certainly surpass his productivity this year. Once again, making him like the 3rd or 4th passing option in the offense.

For the record, he'd be the 6th guy on the list if you rank guys by number of pass catches, behind both our FB and RB last year.
