Miami Hurricanes week.... Did the Bye Week improve our team a little bit?

Do you think we used this bye week effectively? Let's see on Saturday Night... be great to finally see a win since Syracuse... plus Miami is struggling also.

I doubt it, I honestly don't know if they'll win again until thy play Army and that might be the only other win they get this year, Navy and USC are both playing better football and of course Virginia Tech are ranked and Miami though struggling have been playing better all year and it would seem that Notre Dame is a team to play to make you feel good about yourself look at Stanford losing after beating Notre Dame last week.

Kelly and offense went from great 1st half, great calling plays and BOOM they folded in the 2nd until the end. D again did a good job tonight. No blame to the. Special teams 4 mistakes that cost this team points each time. ST coach needs to get fired. They been bad way to long now.

Overall its a close win and its at home I will take it. Its a step forward but not by much. Its nice to win a Close game for once.

With out BVG 7 TDs let up in 14Q's(also 3 TDs are mostly on Special teams.)

BVG was bad. I never saw a unit improve so fast after a coach is let go.

Well when you let your 6'6" beast NT bull rush instead of dropping him into coverage so you can blitz your safety that's too far away to do anything, good things will happen.

His coverage was pretty tight. Most of the PI calls were on Pride.

Did they improve? No. they made the same stupid undisciplined plays as before the bye. They faded the second they made that first critical special teams mistake. BK failed to respond to the defensive adjustments and resorted to his usual too clever by half grab bag play calling.

They looked well rested and by and large healthy, but that allowed them to stay in the game. But they aren't any better at fundamentals than they were.

Jarron Jones's and Issac Rochell's dominance of the LOS was a sight to behold though.

I mentioned this on the game day thread but it bears repeating here. I had to listen to a portion of the game on the radio in the car. So nsturally it was the local Miami broadcast. You expect there to be some homerism in the broadcast but these buffoons took it to another level. Every call was against ND was an absolute right call and a crime against humanity. Every call against Da U was a grave injustice. Every PI call was a mugging of epic proportions. Every time the laundry didn't fly against ND was also a mugging of epic proportions. The 4th down stop ND had in the second quarter. No way they didn't get it. These clowns were questioning even the need for a measurement. They were whining about getting screwed on the call. I got home shortly thereafter to see a replay of it. It was close but the runner turned his body away from the first down line. That's why he was spotted short.

Anyway. Fast forward to this morning. I was taking my daughter to her job. That same station was on doing the college score run down. Did they EVEN mention the ND game? No. the flagship station for Canes football wouldn't even report on the loss. This is the biggest front running town ever. It's why the Canes don't deserve success. If they ever get back to the way they were then all the fans will come out of the woodwork. That is, until the next scandal dooms them.
