Since our season is about to be over in a few days, I decided to get a head start on this.

2 early offseason questions for you guys

1) After obviously trying to re-sign Goran, what position/type of players would you like to see the Heat go after in the summer?

2) Who would you like to see us draft if we get to keep our top 10 protected 1st round pick/

Assuming Dragic is staying which I do, I'd love to see the Lance for McRoberts trade happen.
That would solidify us at SG.

Then, we need to see what Deng does. I'm not at all sold on Ennis, although I'm not against keeping him for his cheap price.
As others pointed us, we fall right into the Stanley Johnson projected area for the draft.
As of now, that seems like a great, logical pick.

Our starting 5 should be very hard to defend.
While we shouldn't ever have to rely or really want to shoot a lot of 3's, we need to add 'that' type of player just to have around when needed.

Then, what do we do with Zoran? Maybe send him overseas?

Not that I tbink we can get rid of Chalmers and Bird, but I'd like to see them gone.

As far as the rest of the bench, the next 2 we need to keep are Beasley and Tyler.
For the price, they are bench bargains.
Obviously Haslem isn't going anywhere.

I don't think we need Shabazz, Thomas.

I agree about Shabazz. But I can't see them getting rid of both Shabazz and Chalmers.

Who is Thomas? Do you mean Walker?

I agree about Ennis also. Not sold on him at all as a key part of our rotation.

I don't mind him as a 10th or 11th man on our roster but I prefer not to have him as the backup SF

I meant Walker, not sure why I often call him Thomas.

And of course you can't get rid of Chalners and Shabazz if you don't get somebody else.
I'm just hoping they can get somebody else.
I appreciate all the good things Chalmers has done here, but I'm just over him.
I think Shabazz was only drafted because of a James tweet.

Agree with you 100% about why Napier was brought here.

No way in hell we draft him if James did not hype him up

Now is not the time to get rid of Shabazz. A tweet by Queen James may have helped his cause but he was still worthy of getting picked where he was.

Agreed we need to address backup SG to make sure we have a good backup plan when our current washed up starter at SG decides the game is not important enough to play and comes up with vaginal aches.

James Ennis, Walker, and Beas are worthy of back end of the roster spots still.

Deng and Dragic should both be back.

Check out the latest tweets from Ira for playoff and lottery scenarios.

I rather not have walker here unless it is as a 14th or 15th man

We definitely need a couple 3 pt shooters. We can not and should not be having Wade take them. But with Bosh, Whiteside, Dragic, Wade. We have a solid 4. Yes Wade's body is getting up there, he still had a solid season when he played. It is time for Riley to start looking for his replacement. We need to let Chalmers walk. His time is up here. Let Haslem go. He just doesnt have anything anymore. Offer him head of security for the arena or something. Let Birdman go. Nappier was such a waste of a pick. Riley really screwed up on that. Resign Beasley and let him come off the bench when you are just looking for points. But as for the draft, We could really use another shooting guard..

Oh and please for the love of all that is Holy, FIRE SPO.

Does Dwyane Wade need to move into supporting Miami Heat role next season? - Sun Sentinel

Said this in the offseason and countless time during the season - Diva Wade needs to take a lesser role with the team. If he wants to prove he is not a DIVA he needs to acknowledge the fact that he NO longer has it anymore especially as a starter - and especially if he is going to SIT OUT games for no reason most of the season. If he can acknowledge that, the heat will certainly do a better job of giving Spo a better roster to work with - And he has proven he is a great coach when all his players are healthy and choose to play.

If any of you are going to the game tonight for another stellar home performance - Get out early - as the cuban rafters in Miami will be rallying at that dump freedom tower tonight due to their scumb bag candidate announcing

question 1) We need a backup SG bad.

2) Winslow out of Duke or Mario Hezonja out of Crotia. He plays in Spain. Been pretty dominate over there.. and playing behind Wade will help either of these guys progress as not a ton would be expected out of them immediate.

While I’m often a little lost when certain oversees/international players get drafted over the local guys , not because some may be unknown names to me, but the local guys seem so much better - and our guys who would probably take less time to be ready than the international guys. I would still like the Heat to go out into Europe and elsewhere to try to find the next Dirk, Dragic, - just to name a few of the oversees guys that have done damage in the NBA. Riles may have to change his all or nothing approach when it comes to constructing the roster though in order to take a chance on one of the oversees prospects

So I would probably take Winslow for the Heat - The kid is fearless

outside of a backup SG... which is our biggest need... we could use a big man and 3 point specialist.

Mannix: Any Real Criticism of Spoelstra is Laughable CBS Miami

miami is a bandwagon filled city - with that comes the mentality that our players, especially star/big name players can do no wrong - so what happens when things go wrong? this idiot fan base blames coaches and front office and gives its players a free pass as if they cant do no wrong. This is why this article is great. It proves just how stupid and ignorant this fan base is.

Chris Mannix is a writer for SI - so this should kill the idiotic notion someone made the other day that even the national media disagree with Spo’s approach and that the injuries are being used as a “excuse” for our downfalls and for the downfalls of the coaching staff , when what they are just facts.

He isn't saying anything worth a damn. We all know that the reason we are bad this year is the ridiculous amount of injuries we had.

Doesn't change the fact that Spo substitution pattern is garbage and sometimes he fail to run a set play to get us a easy bucket when it is needed.....but yeah this is not the year to really get on Spo considering all the injuries

So the moron, Bill Simmons, does an article about Durant coming to Miami and people are actually believeing he will.. Why would anyone think Durant would come to Miami? There is no way he would want to play second fiddle to Lebron again and follow his footsteps to Miami. If Wade was still healthy and in his prime, then maybe. But Wade is about done, maybe a year or 2 left. Yes Whiteside and Dragic are promising, but that isnt enough. Who knows whats going to happen to Bosh, even when he was healthy, he is just a good player at best. Lets not even get into the whole $$ thing, which we wouldnt have to sign him, Whiteside, Dragic.. I just dont see there even being a 1% chance of Durant coming to Miami.
