Come on Rob -- I posted the same thing at the same time, but I actually read the article. It isn't Mayhew -- it is the Lions organization since 2002 to present year. He definitely contributed, but Millen was responsible as well.

Nobody ever responds when I ask, but I'll ask again anyway, When was Mayhew first hired by the Lions to be part of the front office? Or better yet, to be a part of the franchise in general? (As I don't know his initial role/title.)

It's a serious question, that is important to my on going opinion of MMII as an executive.

I don't know the answer, but I do know that it isn't when he took over as Vice President.

Agree, but Mayhew clearly just took over where Millen left off. No more saying Mayhew had nothing to do w those Millen years.

Hopefully Ford Jr. wakes up and doesn't let Mayhew anywhere near the draft this year. Let Caldwell and Xanders run it, or hire an outside consultant. Anybody but Mayhew.
