Really like the hire, impressive resume with some very good offenses and strong OL/running games, especially at NIU. Was an Oc as well, Pittsburgh native, went to same HS as Moorhead (Pittsburgh Central Catholic) and turned down an HC job at SIU. Was also mentioned with the Minnesota Vikings, but wanted to stay in D-1 college.

Franklin realizes he is on the hot seat despite coming off sanctions. The o-line's play has cost us wins and now Franklin has hired two interesting offensive guys with moorehead and now Limegrover. Lets see what these 2 men can do for our offense. They have good talent currently on the roster and coming in. Last 2 years there has been questionable play calling so I am curious to see what Moorehead can do.

Franklin is not on any hotseat. They knew when they hired him his first couple years would be wading through the toughest parts of the sanctions and rebuilding the roster. He'd have to have the team totally implode to be on the hotseat. 7-6 with the roster he had and never having a losing season as a result of sanctions set to nuke us as bad as death penalty is a minor miracle

All that said, these 2 hires are really big improvements. Moorhead is known as a guy who can get the ball in his playmakers hands in a variety of ways, gameplans specific to each opponent, not just continue with a bad plan and use it against everyone, and adjusts on fly during games. All things we lacked with Donovan. Limegrover is known as a guy who relates well to players, is a good coach and likes his OL to have a nasty streak....the nasty streak is a big thing we lacked with a more mild mannered Hand
