It's like John Wayne taking over an organization ran by Liberace or Freddie Mercury. (not that I like Jeter, but he is doing an admirable job cleaning up t'gay from the Marlins organization. Still got a long way to go....)

$100 says that whoever chose "Billy the Martin" as a mascot remarked "Fabulous!" when he saw it

Literally just posted this thread six minutes ago, and then clicked on your alert.

Is David Bowie and/or his music gay?

For example, Freddie Mercury is fucking awesome (Queen is probably my second favorite rock act after Bowie). He was also most certainly gay, whether you were talking about his act, his mannerisms, or his music. Elton John is one of my favorite singers- and (in addition to being attracted to men) his entire act was gay.

TLDR; Nothing, Freddie Mercury is fucking awesome.

Fired the guy who was Billy the Marlin? They probably realized they can have an intern wear that outfit for free. That way both Marlins fans will be able to see the mascot, but won't cost the team any money.

Fangraphs currently projects the Marlins to go 64-98. BP has them at 65-97.

I have to deal with the team that just signed JD Martinez

The Nationals get to deal with the Mets, Marlins, Braves and Phillies

luckily for them they are in the NL Least:suds:

They'd probably lose more games in a division like the NL/AL West or AL East, but I can't see anyone finishing behind them. Braves and Phils at least have some intriguing talent though they're probably a year away and the Mets could be a playoff contender with a healthy pitching staff. Marlins look like they'll be lucky to reach 70 wins this year. Their best players are Dan Straily, J.T. Realmuto and Justin Bour. Lol.
