Series Thread: Mariners @ Twins 4/5, 4/7, 4/8

Another weird Friday off day. Looks like a cold weekend with snow in the forecast for Sunday.

Thursday 1:10 pm PT James Paxton vs. Kyle Gibson

Saturday 11:10 am PT Mike Leake vs. Jose Berrios

Sunday 11:10 am PT Marco Gonzales vs. Lance Lynn

I think it's a bit janky that they are making us play b2b in different cities (nowhere close to each other either) but then an in-between off day, especially when we are the team that travels more miles than any other in MLB every year.

Anyway, looks to be quite a cold one today....maybe below freezing? Hopefully that doesn't set the stage for a Paxton injury.

Well, they sent the Paxman early on Wednesday so he could "acclimate" to the cold weather. Not sure if that will make any difference but I guess it's the thought that counts.

It seems like MLB has scheduled these "off days" during the home openers for many cities, in case of weather.... just stupid. Happened to us in Pittsburgh... as well as other teams having to go through it.

MLB SHOULD have scheduled home openers between divisional opponents, just for the simplicity of more opportunities for make up games. If for some reason (say in this instance), a game in this seeries were postponed, Seattle would need to travel back at some later date (in which they both have an off day), for a one game make up.... Shouldn't be that hard to figure these things out.
