Gamel getting the start in CF. We will see if it works. At least its something different
M’s put Paxton on the DL so they could fill his roster for this series. Expected to be fine after All Star break
Yeah, looks like he could be pitching the first game of the series against the Astro's following the break...
Great base path running for the M's to start this one out. Like how the guys are striking hard and fast. First 3 get on base and 2 runs have scored.
A month ago you didn't really worry about being down 2 runs early.
Now 2 runs early feels like nothing and you have no confidence at all they can hold that and/or build off of it.
Watching pitchers hit is just lame.
It would be like watching kickers play QB for 5-10 downs a game every game. It's just stupid.
Yep, I know there's always a chance they can come back. This is an easy park to score in, but I simply don't have the stomach for this tonight after how shitty they have been this last couple of weeks.
Another game with shitty pitching.
Time to go hit some chores.
True to the blue balls again.
Chalk up another pitching disaster.
Holy fuck, came in from the yard to grab a drink and found...
AS break can't get here fast enough.
Should have a shot for tomorrow's game. Wade's got a good record and their guy sucks....we lose tomorrow?- this team ain't going post season. The worm has turned. Hell of a first half though.
Everyone else in the division has either won, is winning, or at least tied.
Obviously if the A's win the M's are down to only a 4 game lead. It's falling like a lead balloon.
Funny I haven't heard DIPoto spewing his accolades about the great pitching staff at all this week. Law of averages always catches up in baseball.
Law of averages will now also deny them of their comeback wins and 1-run games going forward. Welcome to baseball.
Is the fat lady clearing her throat? Getting ready to take the stage to sing? OR "it ain't over until it's over"? OR "it's Deja vu all over again"- you pick your poison.
This team just isn’t that good .... that’s the reality of it ...
Totally agree, but pitching never had a chance. Bats actually could by ability maintain. It probably won't because it is Mariners baseball, but it has more of a legit chance while pitching never had a chance.
Yep, our bats have done wonders for the opposing pitcher's ERA's too. Never let it be said that the Mariners are selfish. They are very generous helping other team's stats
First drafted player by Dipoto to make MLB debut...calm the excitement.
WOW! Mariners would give a guy like this a 5 year extension...
Athletics designated RHP Santiago Casilla for assignment.
Casilla owned a serviceable 3.16 ERA in 31 1/3 innings, including picking up one save for the A's this year, but the club obviously has other relief alternatives it prefers and thought the 40-man roster spot better used. The 37-year-old should catch on elsewhere without issue.
