I beg of you JD no more acquiring pitching. You don't have a clue when it comes to pitching. Please, please, please stop. Pitching is more valuable than hitting so when a team offers you a one-for-one deal giving you starting pitching for a bat (or reliever) please realize you are not getting the better end of it. Ask yourself why they are doing it and walk away.

I don't know dude, if you can throw a 90 Mph fastball Jerry might trade for you. Anything higher your analytics say you will end up with surgery so it's a no go.

I already have some sort of torn rotator so I might be a trade option for him.

Lol is Dave Sims retarded? I'm pretty sure he just said Ramirez pitched a good ball game.

So far here is the stat line for our two big pitching additions:

Marco Gonzales: 4 IP, 7 H, 5 ER, 1 BB 5 Ks
Erasmo Ramirez: 6.1 IP, 10 H, 6 ER, 0 BBs 5 Ks
Total: 10.1 IP 17 H, 11 ER, 1 BB, 10 Ks

Thanks, Jerry.

Hey, hey! Let's have a hand for our new dynamic duo, or, 40% of our rotation for the playoff run.

Lawrence's Houdini act in the bottom of the 6th to keep both inherited base runners from scoring, was very impressive. Got two strikeouts on 9-pitch at bats. Rookies don't usually win battles like that.

Rookie pitcher with a 5.50 ERA goes 8 innings giving up 4 hits and 1 run. Mariner baseball boys and girls.

I'll take 2-2 series in KC... At least we didn't lose ground on them but we need to put a string of series wins together and quick...

Was just gonna say something along these lines. Yet another scrub turns into Cy Young against the Mariners.

Still have no idea why we traded for Ramirez....

I'll take him for an inning or two with all the confidence in the world, but once you go past two innings anything is possible. His value is out of the pen, not as a starter. This is on Servais, he should recognize that.

Here is the Debbie Downer moment: All that has happened in the series has been great, but if they lose the 2nd game of the DH it will be all for not. It will be 4 games erased off the schedule and nothing gained which hurts the team chasing a lot more than the team being chased. Let's see what they are made of.
It was their home games where they are 32-25 and our road games where we are 25-29. So maybe the Mariners had a marginal edge in this series.

But, our players looked pretty flat in the second game. I think the Royals pitchers had six innings where they threw 12 pitches or less. Mariner hitters were burned out and impatient in game two. Not one fucking Ernie Banks in the bunch of em.

My wife even noticed that. Are we so old that playing two interferes with their nap time? That was as sad as it gets. The swings were one-handed just let me go home swings. Again, the split is a win for KC and a loss for us. Shocker!

This series was a microcosm of the season.

Inconsistent pitching and inconsistent hitting and just looking overall mediocre because of it.

I honestly think the next injury to Paxton is nearly due and when it comes we can all officially put a fork in them for this season. As frustrating as that will be.

The second games effort was kind of sad. Usually KC is miserable to play in this time of year with the weather but it was perfect.

Come on, it's pretty clear what JD is trying to do and that is to out offense the opponents, the only thing he failed and continue to do so is that the guys he brought in to pitch are also capable of giving up as many runs. .500 with a -6 runs differential is quite evident of that. I'll take pitching any day but what the hell do I know!

He's still gonna make the same type of trades though.
