So, I show up "15" minutes early to my buddy's house to draft a team for his wife, as she is commish and entering all the picks into the website. Draft starts at 7PM. We are in Idaho and the rest of the league is in California. Of course, the phone connection is shit, but regardless, we didn't start until 8:15 anyway. Got home at 11:30. Oh yeah, I drafted a team too. 10 team H2H, I'll post the rules after the team. Drafted in the 2 hole, kept Freeman for my 7th.

1. Altuve
2. Carpenter
3. Marte
4. Segura
5. Cespedes
6. Giants Pitching
7. Freeman (Keeper)
8. CDavis
9. KDavis
10. Baez
11. Vogt
12. Cain
13. Calhoun
14. Mustakas
15. Weiters
16. Andres
17. Gardner
18. Rangers Pitching
19. Castellanos
20. Castro

must say I am very confused by the pitching stats...

You are using pitching staffs not pitchers... so isn't every game a complete game??

If I got this straight,

your starters are

C- Matt Wieters
1B- Freddy Freeman
2B- Altuve
SS- Segura
OF- Marte
OF-Kris Davis
OF- Cespedes
U- Chris Davis

P- Giants

All else is on your bench??

In that case your are not as power dry as I thought... But you have a VERY weak bench... Would have liked to see a better SS on your bench in case Segura regresses back to irrelevancy... and would have liked to see a better 3B on your bench so you could use Carpenter's flexibility if needed...

Cubs were kept (can't remember for what round) then Nats went first, Doggies next. Can't remember after that. I felt the Giants in the 6th was decent enough, and I wasn't gonna pick for a long while (no 7th round pick).

Edit: Mets went right before I grabbed the Giants.

I think I would rank them: my top 6

1. Dodgers-
2. Giants
3. Nats- Bullpen is very confusing
4. Indians- if they can stay healthy they are scary good despite having no closer
5. Cubs
6. Mets- like the Indians, if they can stay healthy... But right now that health keeps them out of top 5

HM: rockies, Brewers

So dropping Castellanos wouldn't be a bad thing right? I can't put in the line up I want cuz it says I have too many 3B. Man am I glad I didn't spend any money on this league. Just like their football league. Funky ass rules.

Castellanos is decent, but in a 10 team league where he is only eligible at 3B and U, he is expendable... especially with Baez( I think he has 3B eligibility) and Mustakas...

really I consider castellanos and mustakas the same player... you can drop either one of them... Would probably prefer Castellanos over mustakas because the tiger offense is better and will likely score a lot more runs...

I like Castellanos WAY more than Moose. I would not be dropping Nicky C.

BTW @TKOSpikes @MilkSpiller22 @Chef99

We actually have 2 more "Utility" spots that you don't draft for but fill off the wire. Yoose guise got any super deep sleepers that I might grab? (Holy shit, I just turned into @The Foot of fantasy baseball).

Jorge Polanco
Brandon Drury

would have to see a list of availables to make effective suggestions.

its tough you have 180 offensive players off the board that is just as deep as many 12-16 team leagues...

But i like players like Margot and Judge...

There's more................

To be honest, I'm not loving your catcher duo of Vogt and Wieters... any C available? I ask because there isn't a huge need for any of those players listed. You have good backups everywhere else it seems. I wouldn't look down on a 3rd catcher.

The last spot? I see J. Polanco there. I expect him to be a pretty good player; 15 HR, 15 SB possibly... with a good average, not too many K's. If he pans out, you could possibly look at trading Segura and Carp (for example), for a bigger 3B.
