Maddux removes his name from Cubs job

supposedly Mike Maddux withdrew his name from consideration for the Cubs job. the Cubs have offered the job to Dale Sveum.


looks like we are keeping Mike

You know you are aging "gracefully" when you remember when managers were rookies. OMFG, really? Dale Sveum and Mike Matheny are managers now. At least Sveum is actually older than me. I think I want to go and cry. So sad.

I am also aging Gracefully. Going thru the same situation. Remember when the Players and Managers were Older Than I was. But that was Decades ago. Now I remember when these Guys broke in.
