This is the type of move a rebuilding team makes to give their young guys more reps.

Or Maclin is totally made of glass and the Chiefs didn't plan for it.

Its not a good thing for 2017 unless I'm missing something

So, with Maclin gone, all of the sudden 3 WR sets are pretty likely to have a new face.

Not really a fan of the pass catching depth. Its going to be the Kelce and Hill show which is nice and gravy until one of them gets hurt or suspended.

Conley is a solid receiver but Albert Wilson is just kinda okay. More than anything, the Chiefs don't pull the trigger on this unless they think Conley can mostly replace Maclin and while Conley's upside is really high, he hasn't proven that yet.

Without Maclin, the Chiefs WR position is turning into a baseball bullpen with a bunch of specialists. Demarcus Robinson is a total misfit with Alex Smith as he projects mostly as a deep threat so I doubt he is going to get many reps. Jehu Chesson is the opposite end of the spectrum and basically just a run blocker and red zone target.
