LSU Practice Report: JaCoby Stevens position move? And RB Derrius Guice absent for a third straight day

Freshman JaCoby Stevens could be seeing a second position move in as many months.

Stevens, the highly touted safety signee that coaches moved to receiver in camp, worked with the F- backs/tight ends and the running backs during the 10-minute portion of practice that reporters were allowed to watch Wednesday.

Also, running back Derrius Guice missed a third straight practice, while recovering from what appeared to be a knee injury he suffered against Mississippi State. Coach Ed Orgeron said earlier Wednesday that Guice is "very questionable" for the game Saturday against Syracuse.

Stevens, meanwhile, could be sliding into a new role. Coaches moved him to receiver at the start of preseason camp in effort to both get him on the field quicker and shore up a thin position.
