Lovie Smith prefers Winston to Mariota

ESPN Bucs reporter Pat Yasinskas has "heard" that coach Lovie Smith prefers Florida State QB Jameis Winston over Oregon QB Marcus Mariota.
It's part of the reason Smith chose to hire OC Dirk Koetter over Marc Trestman. Trestman reportedly prefers Mariota to Winston. It makes sense. Lovie is an old-school coach. He likes his quarterbacks to be pro-ready, and Winston ran a pro-style offense at Florida State while Mariota was operating in a spread attack. Winston is believed to have a "big edge" over Mariota in the Bucs' eyes.

Nope - most Redskins fans don't believe that. If the Redskins are lucky RG3 will still redeem himself, but I don't see that happening. Most likely the Skins QB of the future is not on the team & not in this year's draft.

look i have been an RG3 supporter since he came here even though i thought the trade was a mistake

the past 2 seasons have shown me that he is a grade school qb when it comes to running an offense

he is a total rebuild at this point

i gave him 3 years of fall on my sword support but i cant see him being the qb we need . you have to produce in the pocket and right now RG3 thinks he can out athlete everyone and be great

well he cant and his mentality is holding him back .

i hope he can be salvaged , i hope he can learn to do the easy things a qb should do

but after my standard 3 years of giving a pick to develop i feel he is just another bust time to move on

idk what Mariota would bring in a trade, but TN would be foolish to leave picks on the table. If CLE really wants to get into the mix...now you have a tango b/c PHI is noted to want him and possibly the NYJ, even though I can see Bowles going after a DEF guy or Cooper.
