Apparently NFLTR has a blurb saying Romo thinks it's Texans or retirement. I approve mildly. Would prefer the Raiders being the lone serious threat at the division for now.

I'm sure the Texans will trade their 2017 1st and 2018 2nd round pick and sign him to a $55M 3 year extension. Watt will quickly experience loss of bladder and bowel control minutes later and retire from the NFL.

Source: CBS joining chase for Cowboys' Romo

FRISCO, Texas -- The Tony Romo Watch used to be about the Denver Broncos or Houston Texans. It is also about Fox and CBS.

A source told ESPN's Adam Schefter that CBS is making a strong push to add the Dallas Cowboys quarterback to its team. A source told Schefter earlier this month that Fox was interested in Romo replacing John Lynch as an analyst.

While sources indicated that Romo would be released by Dallas on March 9, the Cowboys continue to hold on to the quarterback as free agency enters its third week in hopes of a potential trade that may never come. The Cowboys do not need to make a move on Romo for salary-cap purposes and are content to wait. Perhaps next week's owners meetings could spur action, but it is also possible Romo could walk away from the game.

Retirement has been an option for Romo, who turns 37 next month. He has had back and collarbone injuries the past two seasons that have limited him to parts of five games, and he played in just one series in 2016. Romo has two young sons and a third child on the way.

I think he is torn in a lot of directions. His wife for sure if he plays wants him to go to Houston. Jerry wants him to go to Denver and there are things in Denver that Romo likes much more than Houston. The big thing being he has talked that he would like to take Elway's path for after his playing career. He wants the opportunity to shadow Elway and see what it takes to make it in the NFL. Not sure that trumps a wife though.

You make a good point. Doesn't seem like he'd be a good TV guy like say Rex Ryan who would at least make us chuckle.

I mean Romo would be an ex Cowboy abd most people either love or hate that team so that'd be good for viewership but Timo is pretty canned unlike a guy like Michael Irvin. I can't imagine him being super insightful or clever.

Because FOX and CBS obviously don't see him the way you do.

I have no idea if how that's possible based on what he says on camera. Maybe he's a real character off camera and they think they can bring that out of him on TV?

Hahaha Romo is so done. Cowboy fans are hopelessly dense about this failed franchise QB.

Like Philly fans are about all their failed franchise QB's? Tony won as many SB's as all the Eagles QB's combined
